Welcome to K Ward Wellbeing
Following my diagnosis almost 20 years ago, I was fortunate enough to beat cancer after 9 months of treatment. I found that physical activity and exercise played a huge role in my recovery. However, at the time, there was no activity or programmes specifically for someone in my position. So I began a journey towards creating a programme that can offer support to people in a similar position to mine.
The main aim of K Ward Wellbeing is to provide adapted sports and exercise sessions for people affected by cancer and other long term illness.
Our secondary aim is to include people affected by issues such as isolation, loneliness, poor mental wellbeing and anxiety of accessing mainstream activities and gyms.
Through this website we will be sharing case studies and stories of people who have benefitted from our sessions as well as information on how to get involved.
